Australian Police Launch Probe into Public Place Shooting

(MENAFN) Authorities in New South Wales (NSW) have launched a formal investigation after a brazen daylight shooting targeted a residential property on Australia's Central Coast on Sunday, leaving three occupants shaken but unharmed.

NSW Police confirmed in an official statement that emergency services were dispatched to a home in Killarney Vale — a suburb within the Central Coast region — shortly after 9:15 a.m. local time, following reports of gunfire in the area.

According to information relayed to responding officers, multiple shots were discharged at the property before the suspected gunman fled the scene in a white SUV. Three individuals inside the home at the time — a man and a woman, both in their 20s, and a child — escaped the incident without physical injury.

Law enforcement promptly secured the property, establishing a crime scene as detectives moved to piece together the sequence of events surrounding the attack. No arrests have been reported as the investigation remains ongoing.
